Dear nature lovers, I am really excited to take you on a journey of discovery into the world of natural products. In the 1990s I worked as a buyer for a pharmaceutical manufacturer, where I learned about the production of ointments, teas, tinctures, oils, hydrolates and cosmetic products. After my time in the pharmaceutical industry, I continued my education and became an expert in mold. This work gave me deep insights into microbiology. At the beginning of the 2020s, a wonderful opportunity arose: I was able to take over the traditional company name "Gebrüder Waaning-Tilly" - the name of the company I once worked for. With this name and many old, almost forgotten recipes, I began to make oils and tinctures. I learned the art of distilling and experimented a lot with essential oils and plant hydrolates. A particularly exciting project for me is the revival of old recipes. I adapt these to our current needs without distorting the effect and tolerability. The famous hobbyhorse lily milk soap, which enjoyed an excellent reputation in Germany over 100 years ago, is a good example. I now produce this soap in different versions, but with modern adaptations. For example, I replace the CO₂-damaging palm oil with compatible oils and fats such as shea butter and rice germ oil. I have also developed variants that combine European recipes with African or North American traditions. All cosmetic products in my shop are laboratory tested in accordance with the European Cosmetics Regulation, which is mandatory for such products on the EU market. I also like to share some DIY recipes that I have collected over the years and tried out myself. However, it is important that you find out before using whether you could be allergic to any of the ingredients, because even natural products can trigger such reactions. I warmly invite you to discover the wonderful world of natural products, to appreciate the ancient wisdom and to enjoy the modern adaptations. I hope that you experience a lot of joy and well-being with these products.
